The plant for low-grade timber processing will be launched in the Republic of Tatarstan

The construction of woodworking plant for processing of low-grade timber and production of wood particle boards and MDF will be jointly conducted with the company «Kastamonu Entergre». The production will be launched at the territory of exclusive economic zone «Alabuga». The project cost is estimated at 200 mln USD according to Nail Magdeev, the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. The launch of the first line is projected in 2012. The low-grade timber and sawmilling residues will be supplied to the plant from the entire region.

In order to assure the work of the company the high efficient timber harvesters produced by Кomatsu-Forest (Finland) will be delivered. The procurement contract for supply of 16 harvesters with the total price of 300 mln rubles was signed a month and a half ago, the first eight machines will be delivered to the Republic of Tatarstan during the first half-year period of 2011.
