Ponsse Scorpion Giant
Since 2023, the Ponsse Scorpion Giant with 24 tonnes operating weight is the new model in the Scorpion family.
Thanks to a reinforced middle frame and the stronger C50+ crane, this harvester can even be equipped with the H8 unit with a 10 m crane reach.
With its unique and distinctive design, the Scorpion offers the driver maximum visibility during all work. The new frame construction consists of three segments that are connected to each other via robust swivel joints.
The front and rear segments with the bogie axles can adapt to the ground independently of the middle segment with the cabin. The movements that occur are compensated by hydraulic cylinders, which allows the driver to work very ergonomically.
The proven 8-wheel chassis and the low centre of gravity ensure extremely high stability when working. There is also an actively controlled stabilisation system. This patented system controls the support cylinders on the rear frame depending on the crane and load situation.
