April 8^th, 2011: The administration and care of British Columbia's publicly owned forestlands - some 60 million hectares, an area larger than France - is unstable and in deep trouble.

The shifting of forest governance among three ministries in less than a year, following a decade of deregulation, has eroded forest stewardship and sustainable forest management in B.C.

JAKARTA, Indonesia, Apr 5, 2011 - Asia Pulp & Paper Group (APP) announced today it is expanding its partnership with Carbon Conservation by engaging the environmental and sustainability consulting firm to help craft Vision 2020, a roadmap to guide sustainability principles, goals and program execution across all aspects of the company’s Indonesian operations from today to the year 2020.

As countries are working towards formulation UN REDD national programs, questions are being asked as to whether the REDD+ based projects are able to increase participation of variety of stakeholders including trade Unions? And also whether forest workers and communities are effectively participating in the design, monitoring and evaluation of national REDD+ programs?
