The Komi Republic to start the assessment of its bioenergy potential

At the beginning of the year the Ministry of Industrial Development, Transport and Communication of the region has called for tender aimed at research work during which the quantity and the quality of woodworking residues will be assessed and after that a recommendation will be issued regarding their recycling with a maximum heat and power efficiency.

The research shall also detail all installed and recommended boiler plants using the timber residues, their economic efficiency and the guidelines for their operation at the territory of  all municipal entities of the Komi Republic. Mari State Technical University has won the contract for the conducting of research works. The field research operations will take place in June. The report will be issued by the end of July - beginning of August.
