19 October 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published views (FCCC/SBSTA/2011/MISC.7) on methodological guidance for activities relating to reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation and the role of conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of forest carbon stocks in developing countries (REDD+).

The Secretariat has received 16 submissions from: Australia; Belize, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Congo, Costa Rica, Côte d'Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Gabon, Ghana, Guyana, Honduras, Kenya, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Togo and Uganda; Botswana; Brazil; Colombia, on behalf of Colombia and Mexico; Costa Rica; El Salvador, on behalf of the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Honduras and Panama; Poland and the EC, on behalf of the EU; India; Indonesia; Indonesia, on behalf of Burnei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam; Japan; Norway; the Philippines; Switzerland; and the US.
