EU FLEGT-REDD Facilities open consultation on development of a Forest Governance Research Agenda
-----------------
The aim of the consultation is to distill strategic directions in relation to the work of the EU FLEGT Facility and the EU REDD Facility. The consultation survey covers five main research areas that were identified: (1) Policy and Legal Framework; (2) Socio-economics; (3) Markets and Trade; (4) Methods and tools for monitoring progress; and (5) Organisational Processes and Capacities. The interrelations are recognised of FLEGT (Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade) and REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation) in the matrix of forest governance, policies and instruments. The result will therefore be a research agenda for the global governance research community as a whole. The survey will remain open until 6 May 2011.
