Koryazhma Forestry Branch of Ilim Group Receives New Equipment

St. Petersburg, Russia, Feb 14, 2011 - In 2010, Ilim Group invested USD 19 million to purchase advanced harvesting and auxiliary equipment for the Company’s Forestry Branch in Koryazhma. The amount of investments is more than 10 times greater than in 2009.
A total of 6 harvesters and 5 forwarders by John Deere, 10 Volvo trucks, 14 KamAZ trucks and 20 shift cabins were purchased as part of the Group’s forestry investment program. Road construction operations received 5 excavators, 2 Caterpillar bulldozers and 4 John Deere graders. In addition, two equipment repair docks were purchased.
During 2011 further additions into Ilim Group’s Koryazhma Forestry Branch will include another 4 bulldozers, 5 excavators and 16 Volvo trucks. The Branch has already received some of the harvesting equipment and trucks. This includes 14 harvester-forwarder units replacing older machines. Additionally we will be constructing roads and bridges, arranging wood hauling operations, new shift cabins and docks repairing.
